Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator looking for a new challenge? Our dynamic and innovative engineering company is in search of a Permanent Electrical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our ongoing projects, providing accurate cost estimates, and helping us deliver state-of-the-art solutions to our clients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from small scale residential to large scale industrial and commercial.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing and submitting detailed, accurate electrical estimates for a wide variety of projects.
2. Analyzing project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of projects.
3. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and provide cost-effective solutions.
4. Conducting site visits and gathering all necessary data to aid in estimation.
5. Preparing and presenting cost reports and analysis to management and clients.
6. Keeping up-to-date with the latest electrical materials, equipment, and methods to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
7. Participating in bid reviews and negotiations with clients and suppliers.
8. Coordinating with other team members to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate.
9. Reviewing and evaluating cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Electrical Estimator position, candidates must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical estimating, preferably within the engineering industry.
2. A strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction methods.
3. Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
4. Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
5. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
6. The ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
7. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
8. The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
10. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
